    1942 M1917 holster.

Got this in yesterday to go with my pistol rig. Been looking for a few months for the right one. Got a pretty good deal on it. Pretty nice shape, still nice and pliable. Needs a little cleaning. Saddle soap maybe?

It has an interesting marking on the inside of the flap. Something I have never seen before in one of these, a faint ordinance bomb. Anyone seen this before? I like it regardless.

Good eyes. I doubt I would have seen that bomb stamp (stamp?) Good looking holster too.

Thanks! It was hard to see, a bit of a surprise when I found it.

Searching the net, I have found two more of these holsters with the bomb marking. Apparently, only the very early production ones had this marking.
