Christmas sheath

So i ordered my own present from my wife. A leather sheath for the 91/30 bayonet, from the Ukraine. Very tight, It took many tries over about 20 minutes to get the bayo all the way in. The flute has to go under the brass knob for it to fit. Well made, I like it.

That is very cool! Never seen a mosin bayonet sheath.

I doubt they were common. There is one photo of several soviet solders and a sheath on the belt of one. One was an officer and I got the idea the one with the sheath was a noncom. There are steel scabbards out there, not many pics and not repros that I've seen. I found one pic of the steel scabbard and frog, but it won't load.
