I'm having a hard time understanding how you can regulate a firearm that doesn't exist in any record anywhere. Thats like saying that no one may possess dark matter.

I believe it means that DOJ is going to find a way to administratively make the 80% receiver go poof. In theory that could apply to flats as well, but I think what they are really targeting here are those AR 80%'s made out of two different color plastics. Cut away all the green stuff, and you have a receiver made of black plastic.

A guy where I used to work had done one of those, he said it was Dremel, drill, and file work. I like the guy and didn't want to piss down his back, but I shot that rifle and I think I would have called it a 90% gun - worked 90% of the time!

As to tracking already existing ghosts? Yeah, never going to happen. Trying to control kits and flats or 80%'s that have already been sold, that's like regulating existing bump stocks or standard capacity magazines. They have no idea how many there are or where they are.

I listened to this new one speak, and his party line view does not bode well for the hobby.... It appears they are actually pushing for all of the marbles and the Rights by the Creator be damned this time you hard to manage unappreciative insolent serfs.
