I came into this trunnion and it appears to be structurally sound. My biggest concern is the groove cut by what I can assume was a Dremel cutoff wheel. The groove is relatively shallow towards the business end of the trunnion. The groove is also under the barrel pin hole which is why I'm not immensely concerned with it, but I am nevertheless interested in eliciting opinions. Thanks in advance.

If it's an eye sore for you can always fill it back with weld, functionality is still good.
