FEG PA-63 murder on the hand!

I bought one of those PA-63's from J&G the other day. Man that thing killed my hand "i was bleeding". I'm a pretty strong guy and don't usually complain about recoil in anything accept my Benelli Nova. Anyway do those recoil spring upgrades really work for reducing recoil. FYI zero probs w/ Wolf military classic FMJ. With that kind of feed ramp I expected the worst.

My PA63 is a .380, and it is a snappy gun. Accurate and reliable, after a couple-a-three mags I'm ready for my .45, or the Makarov.

I'm sure your know its in a 9x18, anyway funny story an old guy shooting an original 1911 was at the range when I was trying it out. He wanted to try it, I was a bit embarrased b/c he was shooting such a fine weapon but handed him the gun w/ full mag. I watched his hand closely and you could see his hand shaking a bit from the terrible DA trigger pull. He fired it one time and handed it back to me. Never the less I still think I got a deal for a basically unused $100 gun.

I feel I was lucky to get the .380. At the time 9x18 guns were just coming out and nobody had the ammo or knew what it was. I'm saying that even in .380 the PA63 will bite. I haven't shot one in 9 mak and personaly think that gun is too light for 9mak. The Makarov isn't much bigger but is a dream to shoot in comparison. A shooting glove may be in order for you.

We don't reissue those if we take them in. Our armorer shot a couple to pieces in an afternoon. He's a big believer in durability. We do reissue the heck out of some Makarovs, though.

The heavier recoil spring does help and make sure you do not shoot anyammo heavier than 95 gr.
