    WTT 1895 Mauser Bayonet

    All,

In my zeal to get a bayonet for my K98 I quickly ordered a "Mauser" bayonet and much to my surprise it did not fit.

So, after an hour or two of Googling the web I found out what it is, an 1895 Mauser. Now I really don't want to buy one just to fit it to this.

If you are interested let me know. Be safe.

    Gunny,
Are you wanting an original WWII era German K98 bayonet? They are a little pricey when you find one. If I remember right there was two different battle issue bayonets. One was a smooth back spine and the other was a saw back. I think the saw back was for machine gunners.
There was a place selling replicas, that I was buying some knife blades from, I'll see if I can dig up the info on them, but if you want an original get ready to pay 100 bucks or more for one, the dress models go for as much as 5 to 10times that, depending on how ornate they are.
