Possible trade: What do you think?

I've been trying to sell one of my 1903's for a while. I've had interest but no takers. Someone is offering me 3 No4 Mk1 Enfields. There is a Fazerkerzy, Savage and Long Branch. My 1903 is a low serial number that dates to 1912, and should not be fired. The barrel dates 1918 and is pristine with no wear. It has the grasping grooves in the stock. Should I do it?

    Do you?

    Like enfields?????
I am not a big fan of enfields even though I own a few.... I don't shoot them very often, only bought one because I aquired a bayonet for one, and thew MKIIIs have the ablitiy to use the grenade launching cup..... which blasts the heck out of rubber balls with blanks...

You have to decide if enfields are your thing... There seem to be a few out there.

I would pass unless I wanted an enfield collection.

Seems people either love Enfields or hate them. I love mine, I'm kinda in the same situation as you I have a low number Rock Island 03, but I don't plan on shooting it, just for hanging on the wall. I think one day the low numbered rifles will be collectable all by themselves.
    I love you guys...

My girlfriend keeps telling me I'm stupid for wanting to get rid of it. I really like it but not sure I want to hang on to something I can't shoot. That's why I bought another one, so I can take it out.

That's the only thing I was thinking of doing with them was to sell them. Been wondering if it would be easier to sell them. I figure even if I could only sell one or two, at least I'd still have more money than sitting on the 1903.

If you don't have an Enfield, you should get one. Lots of fun, and there's still surplus ammo around. I can't see getting rid of the Springfield for three of them, unless you want to get rid of the Springfield. If you don't want to get rid of it, just save $200 and buy an Enfield.

I love Enfields, but In my opinion you should keep your year 1912, 1903 Springfield and not trade it for the three or even four Enfields. (Unless they are rare)
The 1903 Springfield is the Top Dog, the rest of the bolt action family is good or even superb.
But the 1903 is a masterpiece and the best among the best.
We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union

I agree. Whether you can shoot the 03 or not. Just the fact that its a low serial # is good enough reason. IMO

no, IMHO, this would not be a good deal for you. in 5 years the 03 will be worth a lot more than the enfields IMHO.
