Actualy it wasn't Rich Freeman that built your gun, it was me. I do all the machinework and most of the armoring for 7.62mm Firearms in Medina, Ohio. Actualy we moved to Wadsworth, Ohio. The FCG is a close copy of TNW's but it's changed a bit to make the trigger easier and more reliable.
I was making and selling those center sections two years ago. I still have a few left for more guns someday. We were busy for a while making new VZ-58 receivers and assembling the guns but are now out of kits. So we are making new M1A parts and assembling those guns. Occasionaly we do MG42's, Bren's, PPSH's, 1919's, mostly WWII kits, some are post samples.
Your kit was sooooo nice I had to do a bit of extra work to program the serial number engraving, to make it match the origional. Normaly we don't put the SN on the rear stub of the receiver on 34s, normaly it's on the side by our name. Went through a lot of care not to damage the finish on your kit either.
Glad you are happy with your 34. It was one of the nicest ones I worked on. I apologize for the 10 month delay, but there were some reasons here and there.

    Regards,
    Heli

Awesome Heli! No idea who actually did the building...glad to know your on here. I see you have been a member for a long time and haven't posted a lot, so welcome to the insanity!

Yes, it is a killer kit and I appreciate you doing the receiver serial to match the kit. Notice I took pics of that to show off. The kit came back in the same condition I sent it, so its easy to see that you handled it with care. Now, you don't happen to have a bolt/FCG disassembly guild do ya?

Did you buy out Armscorp's M14 parts supply? I think I heard that somewhere.

I just assumed Chris sent you a manual with the gun. I'll take a look around and see what I can find for you. It's easy enough to dissassemble the bolt, basicaly the same as origional, with the exception of the rear sear (which just slides off). The Trigger assembly is simple too. Remove the grip stick, safety lever, then slide out the sear pin. The trigger bar and disconnector assembly then falls out of the reciever. The trigger can be removed from the stick as usual. Just don't lose the pin that holds the roller in place on the trigger, (it's not that big) I usualy drop one here or there.

Yes we bought out Armscorp a while ago. Currently making new MilSpec parts for our M1As. Our intent is to make every part for complete guns. Approved the new forged bolts last week from our machine shop. The barrel samples showed up today, will be checking specs and requesting any changes on them next week. Only part not up to Mil Spec is the new "Forged Reciever". It finishes to spec but it's not a 14 hit forging, cost prohibitive at the moment. Basicaly 3 hits with a ton of machining left to do. The cast reciever is still good as described. Been busy making checking fixtures for the new parts. Been in tool and die for 21 yrs, so smithing and machining are second nature.

Current new production parts in stock include Complete trigger groups including new frames, or individual components. Complete gas systems, rear sight bases, flash suppressors and nuts, oprod guides, oprod springs, chrging guides, cast recievers, firing pins, ejectors, extractor springs, and bolts. We do need to get better organized in the shop and shipping department. New building is not set up correctly at the moment, kind of an organized mess.
Boss is getting away from custom builds of other kit weapons, and wants to stick to the M1A. Going solo in the near future to do them myself. I think they are more fun to build than just screw together a few other parts.

    Regards,
    Heli

Negative on the manual Heli...got no docs with it. Anything you got I'll take.

I worked part time for them 6 years ago or so. It was....interesting...guess thats the only word I can come up with. Sounds like you got it going now! You got a website for parts?
