    hurricane evacuation

hurricane coming this way. this morning they are starting to evacuating everyone. looks like it is going to hit here or close and we will get the storm surge ( 8+ feet). so i guess we will load up the grandsons, a few guns ( leaving most of them ) and the pets and be heading north this afternoon or early tomorrow morning.

I hated that part when i lived in Fla, It's better to be safe tho. The news up here said it will be around a cat 3 by the time it makes landfall and thats nothing to mess with. Best of luck to you and the family we'll keep ya in the prayer list.
Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself!

Sounds like you are making hay while the sun is still shining, good to be prepared, rather than fighting your way out. North Texas aint that bad, and you will beat the rush. Be safe and careful out there.
Still building bigger and better bombs for your brighter tommrows(aw heck and takeing them apart and demilling them for that tommrow too)

well, it is 9:00 am, taking a break. loading the truck all morning. 3 of us have most of the truck loaded with guns, ( guns are heavy) only taking $400 value or more guns ( except for a few special ones.).

looks like we will move the lighter safes upstairs and load them up and leave them. tired already.

this is way to much work for an old man. looks like i see a big sale coming up very soon. guns, kits, ammo, mags, ?????????.

to think that i got rid of over 90% of my guns already

well now NWS and NHC are telling us here in corpus christi that Rockport is the mostl likely place that itll hit.... Planning, here's some links on the predictions... pretty reliable as theyre the Navy's forecasters.....

    the main page: http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil
    and http://northportfire.com/hurr/
as it is, i cant leave.... considered "essential" personnel.... yeah right... Cleanup crew is more like it... got all the necessities, even made a sign "you loot I shoot" for the yard.... I plan on takin pics and documenting what it does to my lil piece of the Redneck Riviera.... but if we get lucky enough to get missed here, i wish you guys up on the northern part of the coast all the luck and hope you all weather it well if you stay....

Yep, my wife is starting to panic...
But we are in Tomball so I'm not worried...
We'll get some wind and rain, but not too badly (I hope)
