How do I install a side mount?

So I bought one of these quick-detach side mounts for my saiga-12 (has the same side rails as an AK). However, I don't know how to clamp it down so it doesn't slide off. It's got the golden colored lever thing, but I can't see how it clamps anything down at all.

The 'manuals' section on the site is worthless also. It doesn't have my specific kind of mount on how to clamp it down...

Here's the mount to which I am referring:

"A machine gun is any gun that can fire more than one shot with a single pull of the trigger, or a receiver of a machine gun, or a combination of parts for assembling a machine gun, or a part or set of parts for converting a gun into a machine gun."

A buddy of mine has one ,and I screwed the screw in the mount to get it to tighten. Try that.

I dont have my mounts close by, but you can tighten the screw on the mount(I think it goes from top of the mount slider thur to the lever, and can be adjusted with a screw driver) untill it is snug or slightly loose on the mount when you slide it in(with the lever out), than the lever cams it down. Just look at the mount and turn the lever, watch it cam the mount down, it should be clear, as I have fit my two mounts to the rifles.

If it's similar to mine. You have to pull the retainer clip to adjust the mount tension on the rail.

    Ak scope mount adjustment

I have owned several of them in various designs. Your style was one of the more difficult to adjust but it works just like the instructions in the manual that are available on the Kalinka site that you posted the link for. It needs to be just loose enought to snugly slide on the side mount rail when the lever is rotated to the full release position and shoud be be slightly tight when rotated within about 85% of full tight position as the instructions say. Just try to follow the instructions on the website ( link to open at the bottom of the description) and you should be OK.
