Thread: Affordable .50 BMG optics?

    yeah i went to the beltfed 50bmg cause i just wasnt good enough with the sniper/scope set up to win any competitions... (pic is in my avatar on the left)

    but now im old & carting the big fella around is too much trouble & its back to the rifle version.

    I understand the growing old part. At 63 the BMG is not getting any lighter. On the bright side at 63 I'm not shouldering a 50 cal. If it were to become a need I can replace the rear site with a rail and add a scope. With it being a semi it might work out OK.

    Same age, same problem. My thing is to get a platform to shoot off of - I am not going to sit, or get on the ground to shoot. Titanium plates and screws in my back are not very flexible (LOL). I have gone to
    bipods on many of my heavier guns rather than shoulder firing them.
    Occam's razor, the simplest explanation will be the most plausible

    totally understand not wanting to take the recoil.... specially if you have stents or plates.... your supposed to skip 50's in a shoulder mount..
