    Vortex Crossfire II 1-4 V-Plex

Looking for opinions on the Vortex Crossfire II 1-4x with the V-Plex reticle, not the V-Brite. Cabela's has it on sale for $120 and I am considering purchasing for my M&P Sport. I don't actually need an optic as I do like the red dot on it, but I think a 1-4x could be fun to try out. Also, this is just for target shooting, typically 50-100 yards is what I have access to.

I've gone through 3 Crossfire II 6-18x scopes on .308/54r rifles, usually only got one or two range trips from them before the reticle got shot loose and I had to return them under warranty. The forever warranty is nice if you don't mind constantly shipping a scope back for replacement. I realize the crossfireII is the bottom of the barrel for Vortex but the consistent poor quality of each scope they replaced it with soured me on trying out any other Vortex scopes.
