    What Ammo Shortage??????????????????????????
For those who fought for it, freedom holds a flavor the protected will never know. Those who hammer their guns into plows-will plow for those who do not. Thomas Jefferson

Remember Lower than Dirt, on Election Night 2008?

    Some things NEVER change.

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. - John Adams, 2nd U.S. President -

CTD fills a niche, catering to the stupid. That is useful, for about as long as it keeps working for them (keeps the stupid away from suppliers you actually like).

When the panic passes, the stupid who paid through the nose at places like CTD move on to the next focus for their panic and don't take advantage of the renewed supply and reasonable pricing at the good suppliers that most of us use day in and day out. So CTD doesn't help anything during a panic ramp up, but the lesson they provide for the dilettante (that ammo is really expensive) helps normalcy return more quickly after the panic.

Price gouging doesn't bother me. Though it is annoying as hell over the short term, over the long term it provides an incentive for people to control their panicky, hoarding urges.

not annoying to me, I just laugh.

people who buy guns/ammo/mags during periods as this, are paying the "stupid tax". all CTD does is collect that "tax" from these people

Or people trying to buy guns and ammo in states requiring permits or that have waiting periods. In Nevada there is a short waiting period (3 days?) for the first gun. After that all you need is money and the ability to pass the nics. However..... our loathsome new guvnor got a law passed for this year that no gun tranfers could happen without a background check, even to family. It's a crime now. Good thing I gave all my guns to my kids and grandkids years ago. I'm just storing them here for them.
